| Job Description: | PRN positions available specifically in Spine & Ortho areas. The Registered Nurse will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the patient in surgery. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in surgery. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes. Provides safe environment for patients in surgery. The Registered Nurse must possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding the surgical procedure. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Practices within the guidelines of Louisiana State Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidelines. Complies with the policy and procedures set forth by the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge and all applicable regulatory bodies. |

PRN: 2+ Years of OR Experience, Spine & Ortho Experience Preferred; Must Be Flexible With Days Off, Varied Shifts 230p-7p, 1030a-7p, 630a-5p, 630a-7p; Require Current Louisiana RN License & Current BLS; ACLS & PALS Preferred |
